Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Sales Engineer located in Bengaluru. The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical sales support, managing customer relationships, and effectively communicating with clients. The role also involves sales engineering and actively participating in sales activities.

Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Lead Identification and Sales Opportunities:

- Proactively identify new leads and sales opportunities across various market segments.

- Develop strategies to approach and secure new business.

2. Sales Activities:

- Conduct daily sales activities such as handling inquiries, preparing quotations, and processing orders.

- Manage and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.

3. Customer and Account Development:

- Build and nurture relationships with new and existing customers to increase sales revenue.

- Develop and manage new customer accounts.

4. Extensive Travel:

- Travel extensively to customer sites, industry events, and exhibitions to perform sales activities and build customer relationships.

5. Technical and Application Support:

- Provide first-line technical and application support to prospects and customers during and after the acquisition process.

- Understand and convey customer requirements accurately.

6. Marketing and Relationship Building:

- Actively participate in marketing activities, seminars, and exhibitions.

- Foster strong relationships with end users, principals, and industry stakeholders.

7. RFIs/RFPs Management:

- Respond to the functional and technical elements of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

8. Record Maintenance:

- Maintain accurate records of customers, opportunities, quotes, and contacts.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in technical sales or similar roles.

- Strong technical knowledge relevant to the industries served.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.

- Ability to travel extensively and work independently.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Work Environment:

- Combination of office and field-based work.

- - Regular travel to customer sites, industry events, seminars, and exhibitions.
