Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Material/Mechanical Engineer with 2-3 years

of experience in surface engineering, specifically in epoxy coatings and anti-skid solutions.


The engineer will be responsible for :

1.The development of a non-slip epoxy surface on steel decks of modular steel bridges

to enhance durability, maintenance ease, and safety under heavy traffic conditions.

2. Other R&D design and development work for the Indian Army Projects.


Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

  • Develop and test non-slip epoxy coating formulations that can be applied over galvanized

or OG-painted chequered plates.

  • Design and develop innovative solutions for various projects related to the Indian Army.
  • Work closely with other engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to

ensure project requirements are met.

Implementation and Quality Control:

  • Conduct quality control checks and plan to ensure the quality coating provides the

necessary toughness, chemical resistance, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance.

  • Manage documentation and ensure all engineering projects comply with industry and

environmental standards.

Research and Innovation:

  • Continuously research and implement new materials and technologies to improve product

performance and cost-effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with research teams and institutions like IIT Delhi to test and validate new

formulations and application methods.

Vendor Interaction:

  • Engage with vendors and suppliers to source the highest quality raw materials.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical

Engineering.

  • 2-3 years of experience in mechanical/chemical engineering coating technology, especially

epoxy coatings or related fields would be preferred.

  • Strong understanding of material properties.
  • Experience in handling projects that involve design challenges with tight timelines.
  • Proficient in CAD software, preferably Solidworks and familiar with industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and client

interactions.

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to design mechanical components and systems considering factors like strength,

flexibility, and durability.

  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations in manufacturing and

construction.
