Assistant Manager Legal

2. Managing ongoing legal matters in coordination with P&I correspondents and solicitors.
3. Responding appropriately to Show Cause Notices from the DRI, SIIB, CIU, CBI, and Customs in order to avoid any liability to the company.
4. Assessing the internal procedures and policies used to guard against potential losses or harm to the business.
5. Comprehending the questions posed by other departments (Documentation, Commercial, Finance, Procurement, and Operations) and offering advice or direction on the appropriate course of action. Initiating recoveries and related actions against Customers/ vendors including AR recoveries which is due from the customers for whatever reasons.
6. Examining vendor and commercial contracts and recommending modifications.
7. Should have complete knowledge of Documentation and related processes mainly Switch Bill of Lading, Release of Cargo against BG, relevant Letter of Indemnities, and Amendments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience- Experience in legal assistance- Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
