Job Summary: As an Academic Counselor at Virtual Chanakya, the online venture of Chanakya Business School, you will play a crucial role in guiding prospective and current students on their academic journey. We are seeking an experienced Academic Counselor with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include reaching out to provided leads outside Kerala and GCC countries, addressing student queries, and providing support to help students achieve their academic goals. The candidate must be proficient in English and willing to work in the evening. The working time is flexible. We are looking for someone who can speak English fluently and handle the language very well, as the calls will be conducted in English. Prior experience in handling calls in English is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Outreach: Proactively reach out to leads provided by the institution through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels to provide information about our CMA USA programs and answer inquiries.
- Student Guidance: Assist students in understanding the admission requirements, program offerings, and academic pathways within Virtual Chanakya, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their educational options.
- Advisory Services: Offer personalized academic counseling sessions to help students make informed decisions regarding course selection, program progression, and career development.
- Application Assistance: Support students through the application process, helping them with document submission, application deadlines, and any other administrative tasks related to enrollment.
- Query Resolution: Respond promptly to student inquiries via phone, email, or virtual meetings, providing accurate and helpful information to address their concerns and questions.
- Student Records: Maintain accurate records of interactions with students, including notes on counseling sessions, application progress, and communication history.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with admissions teams, faculty members, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless transition for students from inquiry to enrollment.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest information regarding CMA USA programs, admission requirements, and any changes in academic policies.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in academic counseling or a related role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of CMA USA programs and requirements is a plus.
- Fluency in English, as the calls will be conducted in English, and prior experience handling calls in English is preferred.
