Mangalam University is seeking a dynamic and experiencedCoordinator – UX/UI and Interaction Designto lead and manage the B.Des. program in UX/UI and Interaction Design. The role demands a strong understanding of user-centered design, interaction principles, and hands-on proficiency in industry-standard software and prototyping tools. The candidate will be responsible for academic leadership, curriculum development, and mentoring a team of faculty and students to meet industry-relevant learning outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Lead academic planning, curriculum alignment, and student engagement activitiesTeach core courses in UX research, UI design, interaction design, and prototypingGuide students in real-world projects, internships, and portfolio developmentIntegrate software training into design pedagogy to meet current industry demandsFoster collaborations with industry partners and organize guest lectures/workshopsSupport faculty development and academic operations of the programKey Skills & Competencies:Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Axure, and WebflowStrong understanding of user research, information architecture, wireframing, and usability testingWorking knowledge of HTML/CSS, responsive design, and basic front-end frameworksFamiliarity with interaction design for web, mobile, and emerging interfacesAbility to manage teams, coordinate cross-functional activities, and mentor students effectivelyQualifications:Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Communication Design, HCI, or related field (Preferred).2+ years of relevant academic/industry experience in UX/UI and interaction designStrong portfolio showcasing UX processes, UI systems, and interactive prototypesExcellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
