Position Summary:
The program manager is one of the key role in overall success of the Transformation – Platform Services who will managing the program all the way from conception through the delivery of these services either through integration into business services or directly to the end customer.
They will be reporting to the department head and will work closely with him to structure, plan, document, budget and overseeing the execution of identified projects.
They will work closely with the product and business team to gather requirements, making sure the requirements are very well and correctly articulated in the documents with help of BAs, work with development & testing team for development and testing by playing a Scrum master role.
They will manage multiple projects of integration and delivery of platform services to business service teams or with the customers directly which require excellent communication skills and customer engagement skills.
Finally, the program manager would be responsible for regular reporting of all the projects he/she is managing and provide crips and clear updates to the department head and/or management.
He/She must be able to identify the process overheads and be innovative to come up with process improvement ideas and implement them.
Roles & Responsibilities
Technical
• Overseeing the whole Transformation – Platform services program
• Must be skilled enough to structure entire program into multiple projects and would be able to run them either in parallel or sequentially based on well-defined identified constraints
• Project planning and make sure that it should be able to execute the plan with at least 80% success rate
• Identify risks in the program and projects and able to highlight them with clear data attribute them into project plan
•Work with different teams and customers to collect requirements for Platform Services and make sure it is correctly documented with the help of BAs
• Travel to customer sites or business service owner site for regular project management and collecting feedback
• Play the role of Scrum master for internal team projects by working closely with Engineering Manager
•Regular program, project and sprints reporting to share overall program insights with required stakeholders
Team management
•Identify team requirements and work with department head to justify and build JRFs/JDs
• Build a team of project managers/BAs/Scrum Master to effectively run parallel projects
• Train team members effectively
•Ensure the attrition rate in the team is lesser than that of organization goal
Customer Management
• Participate in customer/client meetings for discussing/collecting business requirements
• Participate in presales activities like RFPs, customer meetings, helping sales team to bridge the gaps
•Discovery of pilot/beta customers along with other teams like sales and onsite teams
