Global Enterprise Technology and Solutions – Dynatrace APM Monitoring Job Location: India (HYD) Qualification: BE/ B.Tech (Computer science or IT preferred) Experience: 4-5 years ADP is seeking a Senior Dynatrace Engineer for Application Performance monitoring and User Experience Monitoring Solutions. This individual will play a critical, internal-client-facing role that interprets and translates client requirements into viable and scalable monitoring solutions. This is not a Dynatrace consumption opportunity where candidate just uses Dynatrace (at expert level) to deliver performance engineering operations. This is rather, a CORE Dynatrace administrative opportunity to solutionize various monitoring solutions via Dynatrace and maintain various standards across different regions. Key Responsibilities Manage/Administer various Dynatrace SaaS tenants by adding up new Active Gates, create new Network Zones. Install Dynatrace Active Gate components on Linux VM’s either on premises or in AWS Cloud. Upgrade the OS and the AG versions on these active gates. Take complete charge of the Dynatrace Architecture, provide recommendations and design rightly sized infrastructure for Dynatrace in respective regions across the globe Manage good strategy around optimal license consumption on an enterprise licensing module. Wisely create standards around RUM, Specific purpose ActiveGate extensions. Create and maintain automated self service based process for users to install, upgrade their oneAgents along with right purpose metadata based on CMDB data. Create API based self services for mass updates to metadata, alerting profiles, notification systems, SLO’s and other anomaly detection rules. Create standards around cloud monitoring via Dynatrace and cater to the needs in AWS and other public cloud. Create standards around OS, Application, DB, Network, Storage, Kubernetes monitoring via Dynatrace and cater to the needs of full stack observability. Have a balance between what services we need to avoid catering to even though they are part of the default services that users can consume out of Dynatrace to monitor their applications. Troubleshoot issues with Linux OS, ActiveGates are installed on RHEL OS. Program Management - Driving solution development through requirements gathering/analysis/discovery, business plan creation, and solution level of effort estimation to ensure that client interests are met and potential business opportunities are established. Drive to push for on time and on budget development activity and migration of applications. Technical Skills & Qualifications BS/MS degree in Computer Science. 3-6 years of experience with Dynatrace APM and UEM products. Not just consumption experience, but experience in maintaining and administering that product and provide various monitoring services to stakeholders. Possess experience in production support and scalable Architecture implementations. Experience in managing the Dynatrace SaaS managed cluster nodes and ActiveGates. Onboard applications to Dynatrace for application monitoring. Configuring alerts guidelines and recommendations for effective alerting. AWS experience to manage, sustain and update AWS assets and to maintain the availability and performance of DT cluster. Dashboarding, Management Zones, Tagging, Alerting profiles and integrations for new application onboardings Exposure to monitoring and configuration management for scalable environments. Ability to script Ansible, Python, BASH shell, and powershell Excellent grasp of web technologies like JavaScript, Ajax, coding languages like Java and .NET. Knowledge of Application Servers, e.G. WebSphere AS, WebSphere Liberty, and Tomcat (include Spring), etc. Knowledge of Kubernetes architecture including key components and EKS in the cloud. Knowledge on Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.) and experience with cloud automation (cloud formation and terraform) Must have exceptional English written and verbal communications skills. Structured approach, analytical thinking, and accuracy. Provide guidance, informal training, and recommendations regarding use of the Dynatrace OneAgent for application performance analysis Assist teams with onboarding to Dynatrace including configuration, automation, and training Act as a technical expert in observability, automation, and intelligence using the Dynatrace Provide hands-on, administrator support for Dynatrace Implement monitors, maintenance, configuration, integrity, tuning, and troubleshooting Architect, Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of OneAgent, ActiveGate, Real User Monitoring (RUM), and Agentless RUM Container, Cloud, and Virtual Machine monitoring via Dynatrace Utilize expert knowledge in Application Performance Management (APM). Configuration of settings for monitoring, services, log analytics, anomaly detection, integration with 3rd party services, and general preferences Create dashboards and charts within the Dynatrace platform Utilize visualizations and data provided from Dynatrace to deliver application and infrastructure monitoring information to key stakeholders and other technical resources Use Dynatrace monitoring data to provide insight into maintenance of infrastructure and application health Utilize Dynatrace artificial intelligence to identify problems and root causes Lead architectural development and implementation of Dynatrace in monitoring applications, cloud and on-premises servers, and databases Analyze performance, establish baselines, and create alerts using Dynatrace Has experience in working with OneAgent and Active Gate extensions. (Extension Creation and Configurations) Collaborate with staff in diagnosing and resolving issues, engaging other technical resources as needed to troubleshoot and resolve issues Create and maintain technical documentation, and operating procedures Conduct training and knowledge
