Compensation & Benefits Specialist

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that align with our organization's goals, foster employee engagement, and ensure market competitiveness. This position requires expertise in compensation philosophy, equity compensation, executive pay structures, and benefits strategy to attract, motivate, and retain top talent.

Key Responsibilities
Compensation Management
- Develop and implement a compensation philosophy that supports the organization’s mission, values, and business objectives.- Ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations and other legal standards related to pay equity.- Design and maintain a salary structure, including pay grades and salary bands, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.- Conduct benchmarking and market pricing to ensure compensation practices are aligned with industry standards.- Strategic lead of the merit increase process as well as variable pay programs, ensuring transparency, fairness, and alignment with performance management outcomes.- Design a new equity compensation plan to align with organizational objectives and support talent acquisition and retention strategies.- Manage executive compensation plans, ensuring competitive positioning, regulatory compliance, and alignment with corporate governance standards.
Benefits Strategy
- Develop and oversee the organization’s benefit strategy, including health, wellness, and other ancillary benefits.- Conduct periodic reviews and evaluations of benefit offerings to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with employee needs.- Partner with external vendors and brokers to manage benefit programs and negotiate renewals.
Policy Development and Compliance
- Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.- Develop and maintain clear policies, procedures, and guidelines related to compensation and benefits.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct regular analyses of compensation and benefits programs, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on market trends, internal pay equity, and program performance metrics.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with HR and leadership teams to address compensation and benefits-related questions and provide strategic recommendations.- Educate managers and employees on compensation and benefits programs to enhance understanding and transparency.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).- 5+ years of experience in compensation and benefits roles, with a focus on strategy and program development.- Proven experience in designing and managing equity compensation plans and executive compensation programs.
Skills and Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits laws, trends, and best practices.- Expertise in benchmarking, market pricing, and salary structure design.- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in HRIS systems and advanced Excel.- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications (Preferred but not required)
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).- Global Remuneration Professional (GRP).- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Willingness to work on C.E.T. Times (GMT + 1)
