Must Have Skills:

  • Client Relationship Management: Proven experience managing client accounts and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically and provide strategic direction in line with client objectives.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business strategies and how marketing initiatives drive business success.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and strategies clearly.
  • Project and Time Management: Expertise in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills for contracts, proposals, and pricing discussions.
  • Cross-Selling & Up-Selling: Ability to identify and act on opportunities to increase revenue through up-selling and cross-selling.
  • Leadership & Managerial Skills: Experience in leading teams and managing client-facing projects.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work well with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Brief Writing & Understanding: Competency in writing clear and concise project briefs for internal teams and clients.

Preferred Skills:

  • Business Acumen: A strong understanding of how marketing impacts the overall business strategy.
  • Financial Understanding: Some knowledge of financial principles related to budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Agency Background: Previous experience in a marketing or advertising agency is a plus.
  • Grievances & Escalations: Experience handling client grievances and escalations efficiently.
  • Understanding of Digital Marketing: Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques is preferred.

  • Takes Initiative : Proactively identify solutions to challenges and opportunities for improvement within the team and client projects.
  • Interpersonal Skills : Maintain positive and professional relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

  • Multitasking & Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment : Successfully juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of work quality.
  • Willingness to Learn : Demonstrate a continuous desire to learn and grow within the agency, staying updated with industry trends and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, preferably in a marketing or advertising agency.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing strategies is a plus.


Broad KPI’s:

1. Revenue Achievement: Measures the percentage of revenue generated against the set target for a specific period.

2. Client Retention: Tracks the percentage of clients who renew their contracts, reflecting long-term relationship management.

3. Business Development: Assesses the growth in existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

4. Client Satisfaction: Evaluates client happiness and relationship strength using a comprehensive scorecard or feedback mechanism.

5. Operational Efficiency: Measures the overall effectiveness in delivering services through key performance metrics like timeliness and quality.
