Job Description: Sr. VP Vice President – TaxationExperience Required: 20 yearsIndustry: Big 4Education: Chartered Accountant (CA)About the RoleWe are seeking an accomplished and forward-looking Vice President – Taxation to lead and manage the complete tax function for our organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in both Direct and Indirect Taxation, combined with a strong understanding of the Insurance / Services industry. The role demands a leader who can provide strategic direction, ensure compliance, and drive value through effective tax planning and risk management.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect & Indirect Tax Management- Oversee all aspects of Direct Tax (Corporate Tax, MAT, TDS, Transfer Pricing, International Taxation).- Lead Indirect Tax management including GST, Service Tax, Customs, and Excise where applicable.- Ensure accurate and timely compliance with tax filings, assessments, and audits.Strategic Tax Planning & Advisory- Develop and implement tax-efficient structures, policies, and strategies aligned with business objectives.- Advise leadership on the impact of changing tax laws and regulatory updates.- Evaluate cross-border taxation issues and advise on international tax implications.Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management- Liaise with regulatory authorities, statutory bodies, and external auditors.- Handle tax litigations, assessments, and represent the company before tax authorities.- Mitigate tax risks through proactive monitoring and strong internal controls.Business Partnership- Work closely with Finance, Legal, Risk, and Business teams to support new initiatives and transactions.- Provide tax inputs on mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and new business models.- Partner with senior management to align tax strategies with organizational growth.Team Leadership- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing taxation team.- Build capabilities in tax technology and automation for better compliance and reporting.Key Requirements- Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong academic and professional background.- 15+ years of experience in taxation with significant exposure to both Direct and Indirect Taxation.- Prior experience in a Big4 firm is highly preferred.- Strong track record of handling complex tax structures, compliance, and litigation.- Excellent understanding of Indian tax laws, Insurance sector regulations, and global tax frameworks.- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.Interested Candidates Can Share Their updated Resume-
