I, Dr. Debananda Misra, am hiring for two positions as a Junior/Senior Research Fellow in the area of higher education, innovation, and entrepreneurship research group. The Fellows will get an opportunity work with me and the five PhD students who work in these areas.
Both positions are suited for those who have recently completed PhD or aspire to pursue PhD soon after. One of the positions will start as a contractual position for three months and will likely be extended for a year. The other is for one year and is advertised on our IRD website (see link below).
One position is to work with me on multiple projects at the intersection of higher education, innovation and entrepreneurship, and the second is specifically meant for a project on “AI and Science” that I am initiating.
The requirements for the positions are the same as outlined in the advert
Candidates are expected to have
- A master’s or a PhD degree in social sciences discipline
- It is essential that candidates have experience in relevant fields of study such as science policy, innovation and entrepreneurship, and higher education studies. Candidates need to be familiar with concepts and theories in these fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in qualitative research methods, such as case studies, ethnography, and participant observation, and in collecting and analysing qualitative data through interviews and focus group discussions.
- Track record in preparing manuscripts/submitted/published for publication in high-quality journals.
Preferable:
- Published academic articles in related areas in high-quality journals
- Understanding of quantitative research methods
- A PhD degree in relevant fields
Both are full-time positions and not internships; thus, candidates pursuing their degrees need not apply. They also not remote working positions, candidates are expected to attend meetings and participate in activities.
