Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Alumni Success & Engagement Associate to manage our alumni relations initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and organizational skills to develop and execute engaging programs and events that strengthen alumni connections.


Relationship Building & Engagement:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive alumni relations program to connect with alumni across various demographics and graduation years.

  • Identify and implement effective communication channels (e.g., email, social media, alumni newsletter) to keep alumni informed and engaged.

  • Plan and organize alumni events (reunions, webinars, networking events) to strengthen connections and build a vibrant alumni community.

  • Coordinate logistics, manage invitations, and provide on-site support during events.

  • Organize Alumni Talk events and Invite alumni speakers to share their professional experiences, industry exposure, and learnings, preparing the student community for the workforce.

  • Create content for alumni communications including newsletters, emails, and social media posts.

  • Promote alumni achievements and success stories to enhance the reputation of the organization.


Alumni Pipeline & Onboarding:

  • Upon student graduation/placement, ensure their information is promptly added to the Alumni Database, including contact details and career information.

  • Develop and implement a "Healthy Check" program to connect with recent graduates on a quarterly basis for the first year, then biannually thereafter.

  • Analyze the collected data to identify trends and areas where the institute's curriculum or career services can be improved.


Talent Acquisition & Referrals:

  • Identify alumni working in relevant industries and positions who could provide valuable referrals for potential student placements.

  • Develop and implement a program to incentivize alumni to refer qualified candidates from their current or previous organizations. This could involve referral bonuses, networking events, or recognition programs.

  • Leverage the alumni network to gain access to new hiring pools.


Data Management & Reporting: 

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date alumni database, including professional information like job titles, companies, and salary ranges (with consent), to track promotions, salary increases, awards, and other forms of recognition.

  • Develop and implement a system to track alumni career progression year-on-year. 

  • Analyze alumni career trajectory data to identify trends in job placement, salary growth, and industry movement.

  • Generate reports that illustrate the institute's impact on alumni success and inform strategic decisions about curriculum development and career services.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups of people.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with alumni databases or CRM systems is preferred.
