About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Export Manager to spearhead our international expansion efforts in the Middle East (GCC countries), SAARC, and West & East Asia. This is a critical role with immense growth potential, reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase sales, market share, and brand presence across these key regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Revenue Growth: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve ambitious targets in assigned territories.
- Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new markets, establish distribution channels, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders (importers, distributors, retailers).
- Product Launch & Registration: Oversee the registration and launch of new products in international markets, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research, analyse competitor activities, and stay abreast of industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Distributor Management: Manage and develop a high-performing distributor network, providing ongoing support and ensuring optimal performance.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with key accounts, government agencies, and industry partners to facilitate business growth.
- Marketing & Brand Building: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns adapted to local markets.
- Travel: Undertake frequent international travel to build relationships, attend trade shows, and conduct market visits.
Qualifications & Skills:
- FMCG Expertise: 10-15 years of proven experience in export sales and business development within the FMCG industry, with a strong focus on food products.
- Regional Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Middle East, SAARC, and West & East Asian markets, including cultural nuances, business practices, and regulatory environments.
- Existing Network: Established contacts and relationships with FMCG importers, distributors, and key accounts in the target regions.
- Sales Acumen: Strong track record of achieving export sales targets and acquiring international clients.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute comprehensive export strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
- Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and product registration requirements.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to thrive in a dynamic international environment and overcome challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Education: MBA or equivalent degree in international business, marketing, or a related field.
