We encounter interesting, challenging & complex problems every day, being a technical manager in Amazon means that you can innovate to solve these issues and help drive Operations Excellence in all areas of your role.Key job responsibilitiesYou will be a proven manager with experience managing teams of high performers. You will have the ability to refine and develop processes to optimize operational excellence in every area of your role. You will be able to drive performance levels to achieve the pace we build and operate our Data Centers at. You will have previous experience in Data Centers, either building or managing (or both) along with exposure to developing great relationships with both internal teams and external vendorsManaging and developing teams of engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance.Maintaining existing Data CentersHelping build and bring online new Data CentersConstantly improving all our processes and procedures. We believe there is nothing we cannot improveAssisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractorsLiaising with internal teams & management groupsEnsuring we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data CentersCreating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of our Data Centers and utilizing those metrics to drive positive changesAssisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.A day in the lifeYour day job at ADSIPL will include (but not limited to): Managing and developing teams of engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of firewalls, vulnerabilities or other security concepts- Experience operating a mission-critical team or product- 3+ years building & managing strong, successful technical teams in a similar culture with ITIL Management Experience- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects and ability to consistently deliver results despite competing priorities and distractions- An engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in managing DC, IT Operations or similar roles with excellent written and verbal communications skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in program or project management- Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar- Bachelors of Computers or equivalent and or MBA (Operations , IT )- Experience in Kaizen/Lean/SixSigma is preferable- Change Management & Fault ManagementOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
