As an Account Manager for Consumables and Small Equipment (CSE), you will be responsible for connecting with a defined set of assigned sites for creating opportunities for consumables business for existing GBA/HSL install base and for hunting new opportunities for small equipment which are routinely used in all quality control and research laboratories. As an integral member of the field sales team, you will use your excellent technical acumen and business development skills to focus on acquiring new customers by leveraging broad portfolio GBA group is having. As a member of the field sales team, you will have to travel and meet all the assigned sites regularly to ensure close connection with the customers.
You will work very closely work with a category management & Product Specialist team to implement successful strategies and tactics to sell the established and new portfolio across all the relevant markets. You will work as per GBA group branded experience guideline to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will need to document all customer interactions at site level and will have to ensure accurate and timely reporting back in the company CRM. As part of the CSE filed sales team you need to ensure faster customer requests turnaround time and improved customer vicinity. You will have to maintain the funnel very clean which will help to do the forecasting process very accurately.
Roles & Responsibilities
Customer satisfaction and loyalty are of paramount importance for our consumables and overall business and that will be one of the key expected deliverables and the CSE AM
Nurture and secure the long-term success of the existing customer relationship, achieving a growing consumables business wallet share within the assigned sites .
Have a documented and tailored account strategy, especially for the larger or most potential accounts.
Make prospecting of new business and/or new accounts the main objective one of the daily activities spending time meeting new customers or providing further services to existing customers.
Drive profitable consumables sales order performance in the assigned sites.
Engage with the transactional sales team and foster collaboration across a multi-channel environment with the goal of faster customer requests turnaround time and improved customer vicinity.
Accurately report all relevant customer interactions in the company CRM . Manage the funnel professionally, keeping it updated and readily accessible to other parts of the organization.
Maintain a well-managed funnel capable of securing an accurate forecasting process.
Ensure company compliance for each transaction , starting for clean and accurate order booking .
Make CSD a strong contributor to cash generation – given the nature of the business and the associated portfolio; the company looks at the consumables business as an effective way to generate cash vs. capital equipment business.
Qualification/Knowledge/Experience
BTech / MSc/MBA Degree in chemistry or equivalent with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience on similar instruments in the consumables or analytical equipment industry in Analytical Chemistry or life science or applied science market space.
