We’re seeking a People Communications Specialist who can find and tell the stories behind all that we build at Ather. As a part of the People Communications team, you will play a key role in culture-building and employer branding at Ather through your ideas, expressions and words. You must collaborate with our various stakeholders to understand their communication needs and translate them into interesting formats to engage our internal and external audiences.

We’re seeking a content creator who can source and package information/news for all our communication channels, including, but not limited to - our intranet Interstellar, newsletters, HR mails, website, LinkedIn, etc. The person must have an understanding of employee lifecycle in an organisation and design experiences that enrich each touchpoint.

This role will be based out of our corporate office in Bangalore, with the expectation that the person will be in office 5 days a week. This is not a remote/hybrid role.

What you’ll do at Ather:

- Context is king. Do all that is required to ensure our team members get context at the right time through the right channels- Understand the communication needs of stakeholders in the org and establish an internal communications strategy and calendar- Drive all organisational initiatives and projects and ensure they are executed as per plan- Plan and execute organization-wide events such as town halls, cultural events, informal learning events, podcasts, sports meets, etc.- Write write write. From 4-line social media captions to 500-word articles, 5-page award submissions to 1-line marketing slogans. Write copy which will be used across various platforms - team member communications, emails, newsletters, magazines, scripts for podcasts & videos, posters, booklets, presentations, etc.- Edit and proof content to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs.- Drive brand consistency across all org-wide communications- Ideate and execute merchandising solutions for the team members- Design communications solutions for our various cohorts - zonal offices, factories, students, alumni, team members, new joiners, etc.

What we’re looking for:

- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar- Comfortable with different styles and tone of content, be it serious and official, or fun and out-of-the-box- An eye for design with working knowledge of editing software like Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Canva is an added advantage- Knowledge of Google Suite products- Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually- High sense of ownership- Willingness to learn, dabble with things, and adapt quickly to new systems and surroundings- Ability to work independently without micromanagement under tight deadlines- Strong portfolio of content-related work like personal writing, blogs, projects, social media writing, etc.

What you bring to Ather:

- A Masters degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications- 0-2 years of experience in internal communications and employer branding
