Vice President Finance

The candidate will lead the finance function and collaborate closely with the CEO to drive the company's financial strategy and control mechanisms. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring robust financial management and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement the comprehensive financial strategies, ensuring they are in line with organizational objectives while tracking execution
Execute the financial reporting initiatives, managing both the development of strategy and hands-on involvement in internal and external communication
Oversee critical financial transactions, including hands-on management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the optimization of balance sheets
Implement advancements in internal finance procedures, crafting policies, and ensuring their successful roll-out and consistent application
Monitor the organization's financial health, combining strategic oversight with hands-on cash flow management to maintain profitability
Enforce a robust financial risk management strategy, focusing on strengthening internal controls, hands-on tax strategy management, and regulatory compliance
Participate in financial planning, merging high-level budget analysis with ground-level actions to realise cost-saving opportunities and manage organizational spending
Supervise and Engage directly in bank reconciliations, debt strategies, and revenue collections, ensuring the finance department operates at peak efficiency
Maintain strong, hands-on relationships with external auditors, ensuring seamless collaboration and operational transparency
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial and regulatory requirements, including taxation, GST, accounting standards, FEMA
Audit Management: Handle end to end Audit process with Big 4 firms. Coordinate and oversee external & internal audits, liaising with auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits
Financial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing effective controls and risk management strategies
Liquidity Management: Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls
Commercial Discussion and Negotiation: Engage in commercial discussion and negotiation based on business requirements
Payroll & Compliance : Manage the payroll processes and ensure timely disbursement and compliance
Team Leadership: Manage and lead a finance team, providing guidance and mentoring to ensure high performance and professional development
Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Founders and Business Teams
Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Chartered Accountant with a proven leadership role and 12-14 years of work experience in finance
E-commerce/B2C services/digital product or services company experience
Prior experience in handling end to end audit with Big 4 firms
Experience in automating revenue and finance systems
Proficiency in financial software and tools, including QuickBooks, Excel, and financial modelling software
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Experience of handling end to end finance function of the subsidiary company of a large corporate
Experience of working in a new age digital product/services company
Well versed, and with hands-on experience, in accounting, consolidation, taxation, regulatory compliances.
People manager who has managed reportees from multiple functions, has navigated inter-department coordination and has also managed group level coordination
