We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our Documentation team at Onextel. As a Technical Writer, you will play a key role in creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for our products, APIs, and solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and customer support to produce high-quality content that empowers our clients and users to understand and leverage our technology effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation Creation: Write and maintain clear, accurate, and well-structured documentation for our products, including user manuals, API documentation, developer guides, installation instructions, and release notes.
-Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and customer support teams to gather technical information and understand new features or changes to ensure documentation is up to date.
-Simplifying Complex Concepts: Translate complex technical concepts, processes, and functionalities into easily understandable documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
-API Documentation: Develop detailed API documentation, including authentication methods, API endpoints, usage examples, and integration guides. Familiarity with tools like Swagger or Postman is a plus.
-Version Control and Updates: Keep track of product releases, updates, and new features, ensuring all relevant documentation is updated and aligned with current product versions.
-Knowledge Base and Self-Service Support: Create and maintain knowledge base articles, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides to assist customers in resolving issues independently.
-Quality and Consistency: Ensure documentation adheres to Onextel style guide and quality standards, maintaining consistency in tone, language, and formatting across all documents.
-Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the documentation processes to enhance efficiency and quality. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing.
Skill Set
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
-4+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a SaaS, CPaaS, or tech-focused environment.
-Strong writing skills with a keen ability to simplify complex technical details and explain them in a user-friendly, clear, and concise manner.
-Experience in API documentation and working with tools like Swagger, Postman, or similar technologies.
-Familiarity with documentation tools such as Confluence, Markdown, Jekyll, or other content management platforms.
-Knowledge of cloud computing, messaging services (SMS, Email, Voice), or communication APIs is a strong plus.
-Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the ability to work in an iterative, fast-paced environment.
-Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
-Excellent communication skills to interact with technical teams, SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), and non-technical stakeholders.
