Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Website Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function, according to our clients' specifications. The role requires a combination of programming skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and graphical design skills (e.g., Photoshop). The Website Developer will work closely with our design team, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, user-friendly websites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Website Design & Development
  • Develop fully functional, visually appealing websites based on project requirements.
  • Translate design mockups into responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Implement website features and functionalities using relevant frameworks and libraries.

  • Maintenance & Optimization
  • Perform regular website maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor website performance and implement improvements for speed and scalability.
  • Ensure website compatibility across different browsers and devices.

  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other team members to deliver cohesive and effective websites.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide technical guidance.

  • Quality Assurance
  • Conduct thorough testing of websites to identify and fix bugs or issues.
  • Ensure websites adhere to industry standards and best practices for SEO, accessibility, and security.

  • Documentation
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of website architectures, codebases, and processes.
  • Create user guides and technical documentation as needed.

Qualifications
  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, equivalent practical experience in website development.

  • Experience
  • years of experience in website development or a similar role.
  • Proven portfolio of developed websites demonstrating proficiency in relevant technologies.

Skills and Competencies
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
  • Experience with back-end technologies and languages (e.g., PHP, Node.js, Python) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.
  • Understanding of database management and SQL.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics tools.

  • Design Skills
  • Basic understanding of graphic design principles.
  • Ability to work with design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch
