Designation : Senior Lead Engineer-Sourcing

Reporting to : Manager

Location : Bangalore, Full Time

Qualification : Engineering Graduate (Specialized in Mechanical or Production or Industrial Engineering is preferred)

Experience : 10-12 Years of experience in Sourcing



Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced sourcing engineer specializing in heavy and light fabrication and off-the-shelf components in the field of water industries to help establish an Indian supplier base.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experienced Sourcing professional who enjoys accomplishing the day-to-day purchasing activities of the role, (minimum 10 – 12 years’ experience).
  • Engineering graduate with a good level of technical competence.
  • Well-developed negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Skilled in supplier operational and relationship management.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing methods e.g. fabrication, welding of steel structures, Plastic injection molding and machining.
  • Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings,
  • Good experience of Heavy & Light fabrication, off the shelf components and sub-assemblies. Should have experience in secondary processes like Powder Coating, plating & Heat Treatment etc.
  • Experience in developing and implementing vendor qualifications.
  • Willingness and capability to conduct all aspects of supplier identification, qualification, and management.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance and compliance management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


Nice to have Requirements:

  • Experience in supply chain management for local/global customers.
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus
  • Strong business-acumen, ability to plan and think strategically.
  • Experience of handling team of 2.
  • Familiar with U.S. and E.U. guidelines and regulations for conducting business.
