Site Reliability Engineer - Server Support (SRE - SES)

Location : Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore

Experience : 4-7 Years

About the Role :

We are urgently seeking experienced Site Reliability Engineers - Server Support (SRE - SES) to join our growing team.

As an SRE - SES, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of our critical server infrastructure.

You will work closely with development, operations, and support teams to proactively identify and resolve issues, implement automation, and improve overall system stability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Proactive monitoring and maintenance of server infrastructure (Linux/Unix, Windows).

- Troubleshooting and resolving server-related issues (performance, availability, security).

- Performing system upgrades, patching, and security hardening.

- Managing server configurations and deployments.

- Developing and implementing automation scripts for routine tasks (deployments, backups, monitoring).

- Automating incident response and remediation procedures.

- Utilizing configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

- Implementing and managing monitoring systems (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).

- Configuring and responding to alerts effectively.

- Analyzing system performance data and identifying areas for improvement.

- Planning and provisioning server resources to meet current and future demands.

- Implementing scaling solutions to ensure high availability and performance.

- Implementing and maintaining security best practices.

- Ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.

- Investigating and responding to security incidents.

- Collaborating effectively with development, operations, and support teams.

- Communicating technical information clearly and concisely.

- Participating in on-call rotations and providing 24/7 support as needed.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4-7 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration.

- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl).

- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, VirtualBox, KVM).

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills & Experience :

- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

- Experience with security tools and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems).

- Experience with automation frameworks (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

- Relevant certifications ( Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE)
