Job Description:
Guide the team in architecture design, code reviews, and best practices for Snowflake and related technologies
Delegate work effectively to team members, providing mentorship and support as needed
Hands-on coding (50-70%): design, develop, test, and deploy data warehousing solutions on Snowflake
Snowflake Administration:
Manage and monitor Snowflake accounts, warehouses, and databases
Implement and maintain security and access controls, including user roles and permissions
Optimize Snowflake performance, including query optimization and resource management
Troubleshoot and resolve Snowflake-related issues
Develop and maintain Snowflake architecture and design documents
Expand technical expertise beyond Snowflake to include hands-on coding experience with complementary technologies like Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and other relevant tools to drive comprehensive data solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs
Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within the team
8+ years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on cloud-based data warehousing solutions
3+ years of experience with Snowflake, including architecture, design, and implementation
Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles
