Job Description: Senior Diamond Jewellery Merchandiser

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Diamond Jewellery Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of diamond jewellery merchandising, ensuring optimal product assortment, presentation, and performance. Your expertise will help drive sales, enhance customer experience, and elevate our brand's presence in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandising Strategy:

  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies for diamond jewellery collections.
  • Analyze market trends and customer preferences to identify opportunities for product assortment and positioning.

Product Development:

  • Collaborate with design and product development teams to curate and refine collections that align with market demands and brand identity.
  • Oversee the selection of materials, including diamonds, settings, and finishes.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and sales performance to optimize stock levels and turnover rates.
  • Conduct regular assessments of product performance and make recommendations for adjustments.

Sales Performance Analysis:

  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to inform merchandising decisions.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales trends, inventory status, and market conditions.

Visual Merchandising:

  • Work with the visual merchandising team to create compelling in-store displays and presentations that enhance the customer experience.
  • Ensure that product displays reflect current promotions and brand messaging.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and e-commerce teams to develop promotional campaigns and initiatives that drive traffic and sales.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely production and delivery of products.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training and support to sales staff on product knowledge, features, and selling techniques related to diamond jewellery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to share insights with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably in luxury or diamond jewellery.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in merchandising software and tools.
  • Passion for diamond jewellery and understanding of the luxury market.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and digital merchandising.
  • Knowledge of diamond grading and certification processes.
