Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in design reviews with Development to ensure a given release does not compromise the security, integrity or quality of the underlying data structures used by the application.
  • Maintain high security and ethics, adhering to regulatory compliance.
  • Design, develop, review and implement data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks platform.
  • Optimization of tune into Databricks jobs and clusters for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define data integration and analysis needs.
  • Review & Develop and maintain SQL scripts, queries, and stored procedures for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Build and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Databricks jobs and SQL processes to identify and resolve performance issues and errors.
  • Create and maintain documentation for Databricks and SQL processes, workflows, and best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Databricks and SQL development.


Qualifications/Requirements:


  • A hands-on, start-up or scale-up executive, with minimum 18+ years of experience building small teams to facilitate effective, profitable business growth.
  • BE/Btech/MTech in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Experience building large scale distributed software/systems with experience with both cloud and on-premise technologies.
  • Datacentric, someone who has worked with data and SaaS products, is comfortable managing data Engineering teams, qualifications and experience in data science or AI/ML would be desirable.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on, in-depth experience with architecture, application development, QA and DevOps.
  • Effective communicator, able to translate the needs of customers into viable products and services, someone able to work closely with sales, marketing, and customer success to create positive feedback loops.
  • A futurist and a progressive technologist, someone who enjoys bringing disruptive product ideas to old established markets, some motivated by game changing ideas and technology.
  • Strong Mentorship and Leadership Skills, and be the public face of the Tech Department to external stakeholders
