Job Description

Brief about the role-

Experience managing and optimizing the tax functions within the organization.

Responsibilities will encompass overseeing compliance with tax regulations and identifying tax planning opportunities.

To take it further, in an ideal world, we are not just looking for someone with taxation

exposure, effective communication and analytical skills but also a keen observation on

internal controls and improvements.

Major Roles & Responsibilities

1. Tax Compliance :

● Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of all tax returns,

including Income tax (TDS, PF, PT, ESIC, MLWF, etc), Goods and Service

tax, and other relevant taxes.

● Preparation of data for filing annual returns (ITR, GSTR 9 & GSTR 9C, Form

3CA-3CD, etc)

● Monitor changes in tax regulations and legislation that may impact the IT

industry, and adjust strategies accordingly.

● Review and verify the accuracy of tax calculations, deductions, and

payments.

2. Litigations and Assessments:

● Assist in data and submission preparation for tax litigations and assessments

● Assist in drafting replies to notices from various tax departments.

3. Transfer Pricing & International Taxation:

● Preparation of data for transfer pricing audit and filing forms pertaining

to it (Form 3CEB, etc.)

● Prepare data for taxation of international geographies and coordinate

with external advisors and teams across borders to address international

tax considerations and adhering to the compliances

4. Audit and Dispute Resolution:

● Oversee tax audits & GST audits and examinations, ensuring all required

documentation is available and accurate.

● Collaborate with legal and finance teams to manage tax-related disputes,

negotiations, and settlements.

● Additional responsibility may involve handling requirements of statutory

audit

● Would also be required to prepare MIS to present to the management

5. Risk Management:

● Identify and assess potential tax risks and develop mitigation strategies to

minimize exposure.

● Stay updated on evolving tax regulations and industry trends to

proactively address potential issues.

6. Reporting and Documentation:

● Prepare and present regular reports on the company's tax positions,

liabilities, and opportunities to senior management.

● Maintain organized and detailed documentation of tax-related activities

and decisions.

Education & Experience

A higher degree, CA

1. Proven work experience of 3-5 years in a similar role.

2. Knowledge of domestic as well as international tax (added advantage) policies

and laws.

3. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful corporate tax

strategies.

4. Familiarity with transfer pricing and international tax concepts.

5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in tax calculations and reporting.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with

diverse teams.
