Job Overview:
Pooja Enterprises is seeking a dynamic and innovative Research & Development Engineer to enhance the performance, design, and functionality of our machines. This role will be instrumental in analyzing current machines, exploring market trends, and incorporating advancements to improve overall machine quality. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for design, a proactive approach to learning, and a strong focus on market research and competitive analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Improvement & Design:
o Develop new designs and modifications to enhance machine performance and usability.
o Analyze existing machines and propose design changes for daily incremental improvements.
o Collaborate with design and engineering teams to innovate and upgrade machine functionality and finish.
2. Cost Analysis & Optimization:
o Work on costing strategies to enhance cost-efficiency while maintaining quality.
o Review design adjustments for their impact on production costs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
3. Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
o Conduct thorough research on competing machines, both domestically and internationally.
o Stay updated on new machines entering the market to ensure competitiveness.
o Gather and interpret data on market trends to inform machine development.
4. Automation Knowledge & Development:
o Acquire foundational knowledge of automation to improve machine efficiency.
o Continuously develop expertise in automation as it applies to our machines and industry standards.
5. Data Collection & Observation:
o Gather relevant data on our machines and those from competitors to inform development.
o Maintain an observational approach to identify potential areas for improvement in machine operation.
6. Report Submission & Documentation:
o Prepare detailed reports to present research findings and design recommendations.
o Submit accurate and comprehensive reports to support decision-making and project conclusions.
7. Collaboration & Team Coordination:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement research insights into machine design.
o Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and other teams to ensure effective integration of design improvements.
8. Travel for Learning & Innovation:
o Participate in industry events, expos, and on-site visits to broaden industry knowledge and gain insights into innovative machine technologies.
o Engage in travel as needed to enhance learning and drive machine inventions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in machine design or R&D (preferred).
• Strong market research and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge or experience with automation is an advantage.
• Excellent observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel for industry exposure and hands-on learning.
