Content Specialist Job Description

We seek a creative and talented content specialist to join our marketing team. As a content specialist, you will be responsible for planning, creating, and distributing high-quality content that attracts and engages our target audience. You will also work closely with other departments to ensure the content supports our business objectives and brand identity.

To be successful as a content specialist, you should have excellent writing and editing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for storytelling. You should also understand SEO, social media, and web analytics well. You should be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Researching and identifying content topics and trends that resonate with our audience.
  • Developing and executing content strategies for various online platforms, such as websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, etc.
  • Writing, editing, and proofreading engaging and relevant content that meets the quality standards and guidelines.
  • Optimizing content for SEO, using keywords, meta tags, headings, etc.
  • Coordinating with design and marketing teams to ensure the content is visually appealing and consistent with the brand voice and tone.
  • Manage the content calendar and ensure timely delivery of content across all channels.
  • Monitoring and analyzing content performance using web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, and providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Staying updated with the latest content practices, trends, and technologies.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in content creation, marketing, or a similar role.
  • Portfolio of published work or samples of previous projects.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English, with the ability to adapt to different styles and formats.
  • Proficient in using content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and strategies, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative, curious, and enthusiastic about creating engaging content.
