Job Title: Inward Quality Engineer (IQC Engineer)

Location: (Baner) Pune

Department: Quality Department

Reports To: (Production Manager/ Purchase Manager/ Service Manager/ R & D Manager)

Job Summary:

The Inward Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials, components, and products meet quality standards and specifications before they are integrated into production processes. This role involves conducting inspections, tests, and audits on incoming materials to identify defects and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Incoming Inspection:

- Perform inspections on incoming materials and components to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.- Utilize measurement tools and equipment to assess the quality of products.- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and results.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

- Document inspection findings and prepare reports for management.- Communicate quality issues with suppliers and internal teams.- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality-related issues.

1. Supplier Quality Management:

- Evaluate supplier performance and quality metrics.- Conduct audits and assessments of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards.- Work with suppliers to develop corrective action plans for quality deficiencies.

1. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify areas for improvement in inspection processes and quality control systems.- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects.- Analyze quality data to identify trends and root causes of defects.

1. Compliance and Standards:

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality procedures.- Stay updated on quality standards and best practices in the electronics industry.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in E & Tc- 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the electronics industry.- Knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards, & 7 Qc tools, 5 core tools, IPC standards of Assembly).- Proficient in using inspection tools and measurement equipment.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with quality management systems (QMS).- Familiarity with electronic components and manufacturing processes.- Certification in quality engineering (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

- Office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing and supplier locations.

Salary - 3 to 3.5 lacs
