About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Full-Stack Developer with expertise in Full stack development and Data Engineering to join our team. This role will be pivotal in shaping both the user-facing and backend infrastructure of the Roundglass Foundation's data platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack development, mobile app development, and data engineering, enabling seamless integration between front-end interfaces and backend data systems. This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the entire stack, from the user interface to the data architecture, supports the foundation's programs and initiatives.


What you’ll do:

  1. Data Modeling: Design and implement comprehensive data models that align with the Foundation’s goals
  2. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and scalability across multiple systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  1. Data Capture Planning: Develop strategies for effective data capture across various programs.
  2. Design and manage data collection frameworks to ensure accurate and timely data acquisition.
  3. Work closely with IT and data teams to integrate new data sources into the existing infrastructure.
  4. Data Pipeline Development: Architect and develop robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines.
  5. Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to prepare data for analysis and reporting.
  6. Ensure that data pipelines are optimized for performance and maintainability.
  7. Analytics & API Development: Build and manage analytics platforms that provide actionable insights to the Roundglass Foundation’s leadership.
  8. Develop APIs to support data access, integration, and sharing across various applications.
  9. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to create advanced analytics solutions.
  10. Full-stack Development Lead the design, development, and deployment of web and mobile applications, ensuring responsiveness and scalability.
  11. Develop and maintain both client-side and server-side components using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Flutter, Node.js).
  12. Implement and manage APIs that facilitate communication between the frontend and backend systems.
  • Data Governance & Security: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance.
  • Implement data security best practices to protect sensitive information.
  • Monitor and audit data usage to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Product, and RGF Program teams to align data strategies with organizational goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers and analysts in best practices and advanced techniques.
  • Lead data architecture initiatives and contribute to the overall data strategy of the Foundation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a strong focus on full stack and data engineering.
  • Proven experience in developing responsive web applications OR mobile applications with intuitive user interfaces.
  • Strong background in building and managing data pipelines and analytics platforms.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools.
  • Proficiency in modern front-end mobile app frameworks (e.g., React, Flutter) and backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python).
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and other relevant languages.
  • Experience in using databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD).
  • Familiarity with data warehouse, star schema, data pipelines (e.g. AirByte, NocoDB)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
  • Experience in Elasticsearch is plus.
