Looking for an Asst Manager - SCM who would be handling production planning and scheduling, to be based at HO, Gurgaon.


Roles and responsibilities:


Ensuring Finished Good availability:

• Product availability at Sales Depots in accordance to the Inventory Service Level Measure of >95% at Depot – SKU Level against the Month S&OP Sales Forecast.


Production Planning & Scheduling:

• Develop and maintain long-range & short-range production plans based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, capacity constraints, NPD & SKU transitions. • Ensure that the production schedule aligns with customer delivery deadlines and resource availability.


Capacity Planning:

• Assess production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks. • Plan for necessary adjustments in workforce, machinery, and other resources to meet production targets.


Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. • Coordinate with raw material planner and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and Finished goods.


Resource Allocation:

• Allocate resources, including labor, machinery, and materials, to optimize production efficiency. • Balance workloads across different production lines or facilities to avoid overloading and underutilization.


Coordination with Other Departments:

• Work closely with procurement, logistics, quality control, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow. • Communicate production plans and changes to relevant stakeholders.


Cost Management:

• Monitor production costs and strive to minimize expenses without compromising quality. • Implement cost-saving initiatives in the production process.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover. • Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting performance against production targets.


Risk Management:

• Anticipate potential disruptions in the production process (e.g., machine breakdowns, material shortages) and develop contingency plans. • Mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions by maintaining buffer stocks or alternate suppliers. • Mitigate risks associated with Inventory write off.


Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that production activities comply with industry standards and regulations. • Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain high standards of product quality.

Del Monte Foods Private Limited ( Del Monte India/Company) is a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises (Bharti) and Del Monte Pacific Limited (DMPL). The venture offers branded processed food and beverage products in India and some SAARC countries under the Del Monte brand.

Our Achievements

One of the R&D centers for Del Monte range of products is located at Hosur, near Bengaluru, which won the CII National award for Food Safety and Quality. Humbled by the recognition, we do take great pride for a world class manufacturing facility. This state-of-the-art facility manufactures a range of Fruit Drinks, Sauces, Dips, Dressings and Condiments. The plant has fully integrated & highly automated lines consistently producing quality products.

In September 2023, Del Monte India had also set up a greenfield manufacturing plant with a built-up area of 5200 Sq. metres in Ludhiana, Punjab under its wholly owned subsidiary company named Del Monte Foods India (North) Private Limited. It is a world class manufacturing facility and is fully integrated with automated high-speed lines for manufacturing of fruit drinks, sauces, dips and dressings which will help Del Monte India to meet the increasing demands of its products all over the world.
