Job Description

Understanding of

Java

– Ability to understand Java programs, code, logging, exception handlingKnowledge of troubleshooting

Java applications

– Analyzing log files, exceptions, error, configuring log levels etc.Basic understanding of

Unix/LinuxExposure of using any

RDBMS –MySQL/PostgreSQL

(connect using clients, querying)General operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system’s capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networksUnderstanding of performance parameters and metrics – CPU, Memory, HeapAwareness to monitoring tools, utilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skills are mandatoryExcellent analytical and problem solving skills are mandatoryPrior working experience in production environmentsSolid troubleshooting abilities and able to work with a team to fix large production issuesOpen to work in shifts (24x7 rotational)Create run books & troubleshooting guides & knowledge baseManage customer calls and analyze issues reported by customerShould be capable of working independently & responsible for

Roles & Responsibilities

As an

Associate DevOps Engineer

at Impetus Technologies, there are several key roles and responsibilities that you will be expected to fulfill:

1.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams

: The Associate DevOps Engineer will work closely with the development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline the software development and deployment process. This will involve effective communication and teamwork to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on project goals and timelines.

2.

Implement and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

: The Associate DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment process. This will require a strong understanding of tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and optimize the pipeline for maximum efficiency.

Monitoring and troubleshooting:

The Associate DevOps Engineer will be tasked with monitoring the performance of applications and infrastructure, as well as identifying and resolving any issues that may arise. This will involve the use of monitoring and logging tools, as well as the ability to respond quickly to incidents and outages.

4.

Infrastructure as code

: The Associate DevOps Engineer will work on automating infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef. This will involve writing and maintaining infrastructure code to ensure that the company's resources are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.

5.

Security and compliance

: The Associate DevOps Engineer will be expected to adhere to security best practices and compliance standards in their work. This will involve implementing and maintaining security measures, as well as collaborating with security teams to address any vulnerabilities or threats.

6.

Continuous learning and improvement:

The Associate DevOps Engineer will be encouraged to stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices in the field. This may involve attending training sessions, obtaining certifications, and contributing to the team's collective knowledge through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
