The Role

We’re building a scalable, tax-efficient trading & rebalancing platform for wealth management firms of all sizes. The platform will target sophisticated rebalancing strategies across equities, mutual funds and fixed income products and provide restrictions, equivalents, cash management, and tax budgets.

We’re looking for a dynamic Engineer who will build an inclusive team culture, empower engineers to succeed and cultivate an environment that creates high quality engineering processes and product delivery. Our engineering team primarily works in ReactJS,Java 17+, Python, SQL and AWS, and we use Agile methodologies to deliver impactful business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Partner with designers and product owners to design and deliver significant features on our platform. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to our inclusive and dynamic engineering culture. Help your team develop pragmatic solutions to complex problems. Create and maintain RESTful APIs for web applications. Design and implement database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity using SQL or NoSQL databases. Identify and resolve issues in the backend codebase, including performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and scalability problems. Collaborate with our front-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure efficient communication between the front-end and back-end systems. Participate in code reviews and write unit tests to ensure code quality and maintainability. Collaborate to ensure that the codebase is well-documented and easy to maintain.

Who You Are

3 to 5 years experience as a professional software engineer. Must be a good programmer and have experience working with Java and at least one Java application framework like spring boot, quarkus etc. Must have experience with SQL databases and writing efficient SQL queries. Must have experience working with event driven frameworks like Kafka. Good understanding of Data structures, algorithms and system architecture. Good understanding of any cloud technology like AWS, GCP, Azure and its managed services. Experience with any Wealth Management System / Trading Platform or similar is a huge plus CI/CD experience will be preferred

Important Note - This is a Hybrid role which typically requires 3 days work from our Pune office. (WFO)
