Role Overview: Senior Software Engineer – Node.js & Spring Boot

As a Senior Software Engineer at ValueLabs, you will be at the heart of creating impactful solutions for the banking sector, leveraging your expertise in Node.js and Spring Boot. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems that power secure, scalable, and high-performance banking applications. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and innovative developer to contribute to shaping the future of digital banking.

What You’ll Do:

Work with Node.js:

- Build high-performance backend systems using Node.js for our banking applications.- Develop and maintain APIs and microservices that can handle large-scale financial transactions.

Leverage Spring Boot:

- Build and integrate Java-based microservices using Spring Boot for seamless backend operations.- Ensure smooth and efficient interaction between Node.js services and Spring Boot services.- Design Scalable Systems:- Architect backend systems that are secure, scalable, and high-performing to meet the needs of the banking industry.- Handle high volumes of transactions and ensure the systems can grow as needed.- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers in an Agile environment to deliver new features.- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions to improve the product.- Optimize for Speed & Security:- Continuously optimize the backend for speed, performance, and low latency.- Follow best practices to ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.

What We’re Looking For:

Expert in Node.js:

- Proven experience in backend development with Node.js, specifically with frameworks like Express.js or Nest.js.

Spring Boot Knowledge:

- Experience building and integrating Java-based microservices with Spring Boot.- Strong Backend Skills:- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and databases (both SQL and NoSQL like MongoDB).

Cloud & Container Skills:

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker.- Agile Experience:- Comfortable working in an Agile environment and familiar with tools like JIRA or Trello.- Experience:- Minimum 5+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js.- Experience in banking, fintech, or high-volume transaction systems is highly desirable.- Problem-Solving Mindset:- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable and secure systems
