THE ROLEWork closely with the Australian buying & design teams to understand their product requirements and follow the company’s procedures on the product developments and production processFollow-up orders from sample development to bulk production in applying supply management.Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure that critical path timeframes are met.Communicate with buyers, design and quality team, and suppliers on technical issues and problem resolution.Negotiate pricing and production timeframes with suppliers.Engage with and influence all key stakeholders across the Globe.Keep up to date on trends and innovations in the market.Operate across product areas and multiple projects within categories whilst meeting specified timelines.
WHO YOU AREMinimum 3 years of experience in Boys or Girlswear and Apparel - Preferably in Brands/Buying office.Min Bachelor's Degree or equivalent - preferably from textile background.Knowledge of the Cost Components related to Apparels.Well - Organized, Systematic, detail Oriented, Customer focused, Analytical and Problem Solver.Proficient with Microsoft Office - Particularly in Excel and Powerpoint.Ability to operate in a fast paced culture of changeExcellent product knowledge and understanding of relevant manufacturing processes.Attentive to details and able to work under pressure and capable to work independentlyFamiliar with Quality standards and Risk Factors for BabywearGood command of both spoken and written English and Hindi. Knowing Tamil will be an added advantage.Ability to work remotely with the suppliers in other Asian countries.
