About Aajeevika Bureau and STEP AcademyAajeevika Bureau, headquartered in Udaipur, Rajasthan, is a non-profit organization focused on securing dignified lives for underprivileged communities dependent on labor and migration. STEP Academy, a specialized unit of Aajeevika Bureau, empowers vulnerable migrant youth by providing vocational training, employability skills, and job linkages. STEP has trained over 10,000 rural youth in Rajasthan and Gujarat, addressing skill gaps in multiple fields including construction, light engineering, services, tailoring, and small businesses.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Guidance and Supervision of Skilling InitiativesProvide strategic direction to STEP’s skilling and placement programs in Gujrat.Mentor and guide trainers, technicians, and facilitators.Coordinate with STEP Academy head office, Udaipur to align objectives and activities.2. Market Linkages and FacilitationIdentify and establish new market opportunities and partnerships for youth employment.Liaise with industry and employers to create apprenticeships and employment opportunities.Advocate for improved workplace conditions and practices through employer and candidate sensitization.3. Data Management, Documentation, and Resource MobilizationOversee data management and documentation for effective monitoring and analysis.Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Contribute to resource mobilization and active networking to enhance program impact.Candidate ProfileEssential Qualifications and Skills:Post-graduate degree in Social Work, Economics, Development Studies, Management, or similar disciplines.Minimum 3 years of experience in skill training, placement or livelihoods development.Competence in English and Hindi with excellent presentation and networking skills.Demonstrated commitment to working with disadvantaged youth and supporting livelihood solutions.Desirable Skills:Experience in working with youth, especially from low-income or vulnerable backgrounds.Ability to build partnerships with market and industry stakeholders.Remuneration and BenefitsSalary band: 4-6 lakhs per annum, based on qualifications and experience.A dynamic work environment within the larger ecosystem of labor servicesApplication ProcessInterested candidates should send their resume along with a
