Job Description


Position Overview:

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support vulnerability patch deliveries for our Ultrasound product lines and manage third-party software. This role requires close collaboration with product architects, development, and testing teams.


Key Responsibilities:


- Deliver security vulnerability patches and manage third-party software.

- Collaborate closely with product architects, development, and testing teams.

- Enhance threat analysis capabilities and tooling.

- Investigate and perform root cause analysis of security incidents.

- Understand system architecture and recommend improvements for security vulnerability patch support.

- Operate within an Agile or Safe Agile development environment.


Qualifications:


- Education: Engineering degree with 2-5 years of experience in cybersecurity.

- Technical Skills:

- Solid understanding of network technologies and troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Microsoft Azure, AWS) is a plus.

- Programming skills in C# .NET, Python, Shell, PowerShell, and database management (SQL).

- Experience with source control management systems (e.g., TFS, VSTS).

- Background in IT operations within high-security environments.

- Comfortable with frequent incremental code testing and deployment.


Essential Skills:


- Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to think outside the box to tackle complex cybersecurity challenges.

- Troubleshooting: Proficient in diagnosing and resolving cybersecurity issues efficiently.

- Vulnerability Patching: Experience in identifying and applying patches across various systems and platforms.

- Network Security: Expertise in implementing network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.

- Scripting Skills: Proficient in batch scripting for automation and system management; advanced knowledge of PowerShell for administration and security tasks.


Preferred Qualifications:


- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and CIS Controls.

- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CSSLP).

- Experience with threat modeling techniques to assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks.

- Knowledge of application security and SAST (Static Application Security Testing) practices is a plus.
