Opened in 2019, Hideaway is a kickback boozer that hosts eclectic independent artists and modern jazz bands. 

Set in the beachside village of Vagator, Hideaway,is placed away from the hustle of the popular party district, and offers an unmistakable cocktail and dining experience. 


The food and beverage program is inspired by flavors from the team’s childhood and travels. With a strong focus on commonly available, yet distinct local ingredients, it’s paired with international influences while attempting to keep it as simple and fresh as we can.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Chef at Hideaway Cafe & Bar. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and ensuring high-quality and consistent dishes are served to customers. The Head Chef will also collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and maintain a high standard of food quality and presentation.


Qualifications

  • Exceptional culinary skills and expertise in various cooking techniques
  • Experience in menu planning and developing creative and innovative dishes
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff
  • Passion for creating unique and memorable culinary experiences
  • Experience in a similar role or upscale restaurant is preferred
  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus
