Job Title: Java Backend Developer (5+ Years Experience)

Location: Kolkata, West Bengal

Job Type: Full-Time



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices-based applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable Java code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with various front-end systems and third-party services.
  • Develop and maintain databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs, and production incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and develop solutions.
  • Continuously optimize the backend architecture for performance and scalability.
  • Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Java development.


Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
  • Core Java Skills: Strong expertise in Java 8 or later, including object-oriented programming, concurrency, and multi-threading.
  • Frameworks & Libraries: Proficient in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), Hibernate, JPA, and related frameworks.
  • Database Management: Experience working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Microservices Architecture: Solid experience in designing, building, and deploying microservices.
  • API Development: Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs, SOAP, and third-party API integrations.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
