The role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.  Key responsibilities Financial record maintenance: Posting journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. Accounts payable and receivable: Processing invoices, managing bills, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and collection from clients. Financial reporting: Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Reconciliation: Performing bank and account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. Payroll: Administering monthly payroll and processing payroll taxes. Audit support: Gathering documents and assisting with internal and external audits. Compliance: Ensuring all financial activities comply with state and federal regulations, GAAP standards, and company policies.  Qualifications and skills Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is standard. Experience: Previous experience as a junior accountant or in a similar role is often required. Software proficiency: Expertise in accounting software (like QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel are essential. Attention to detail: A high level of accuracy is critical for handling financial data. Analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to analyze financial data and solve problems effectively is a key requirement. Organizational skills: Strong time management and organizational skills are needed to meet deadlines. Confidentiality: The ability to handle sensitive financial information discreetly is crucial.
