The Cybersecurity Consultant will be responsible for delivering cybersecurity training while providing strategic guidance on security policies, governance, compliance, and audits. This role combines technical expertise with the ability to educate and mentor various audiences. The consultant will work with clients to improve their cybersecurity posture and ensure regulatory compliance, while also developing training programs that equip professionals with the latest cybersecurity skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Training:

- Design and deliver comprehensive cybersecurity training programs, covering foundational to advanced topics.- Develop and update training materials, including labs, simulations, and assessments, aligned with industry standards.- Facilitate hands-on labs, case studies, and administer assessments to evaluate participant skills.- Customize training for different audiences (corporate, government, academic), ensuring relevance and engagement.- Provide mentorship and support during and after training sessions.

Security Policies & Procedures:

- Assist in developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures.- Deliver security awareness programs to educate clients on best practices and enforce compliance.

Governance & Compliance:

- Support clients in establishing security governance frameworks and managing compliance programs (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001).- Help prepare clients for external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.

Audits & Risk Assessments:

- Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and improve security posture.- Prepare detailed reports and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.

Ongoing Development:

- Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, maintain relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM), and continuously improve training content.

Qualifications:

- Experience in cybersecurity consulting or training.- Strong knowledge of security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS).- Hands-on experience with security tools and risk assessments.- Excellent communication skills and ability to teach complex concepts.
