About the Role:

As a Firmware Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and supporting firmware/embedded software applications for microcontroller-based or proprietary wireless systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept to completion, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for wireless communication systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. You will also have opportunities to explore new technologies, enhance existing processes, and create impactful solutions in the embedded systems domain.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and support firmware/embedded software for microcontroller-based or proprietary wireless systems.- Develop software communication protocols for wireless communication systems.- Drive technology and development projects through all phases, from specification to release.- Interpret and understand product electronic schematics and system design for embedded software implementation.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.- Contribute to product software specifications, including software architecture, feature descriptions, and application notes.- Create and maintain product software documentation in alignment with company policies.- Research technical issues and emerging technologies, providing recommendations for improvement and innovation.- Participate in ad hoc software projects and assignments as needed.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with C/C++ and Python.- Good experience with Linux internals and Yocto.- Ability to read and understand hardware schematics.- Experience with ARM Cortex-based microcontrollers is essential.- 2–5 years of experience in real-time embedded systems is highly desirable.- Solid understanding of communication transport protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, and USB is an advantage.- Familiarity with the Bluetooth protocol and stack is a plus.- Knowledge of DSP programming is an added advantage.- Excellent teamwork skills with flexibility and the ability to multitask effectively.- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
