Job Title: Executive - Payroll Management
Department: Human Resources
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Executive - Payroll Management to oversee and manage our company's payroll function. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with all relevant regulations, and continuous improvement of payroll processes. You will work closely with the HR and Finance teams to maintain data integrity, streamline payroll operations, and enhance employee satisfaction through effective payroll management.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data collection, entry, validation, and disbursement for all employees.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly, bi-weekly, and special payrolls, including bonuses, incentives, overtime, and deductions.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, tax laws, labor laws, and company policies related to payroll.
Prepare and file all necessary payroll-related reports, including tax filings, year-end processes, and employee tax statements (e.g., Form 16 in India).
Data Management:
Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and inputting data.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
Employee Queries and Support:
Respond to and resolve employee payroll-related inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Provide clear communication and guidance on payroll processes, deductions, benefits, and taxes.
System and Process Improvement:
Collaborate with HR and IT to enhance payroll systems and tools.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices for efficient payroll management.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll-related data and processes.
Support finance teams during internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll management or a related role.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SAP, ADP, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with payroll in a multi-state or global organization.
Professional certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar.
Knowledge of HRIS systems and integration with payroll.
