Power BI Developer – Finance Domain

We are looking for a Power BI resource with strong expertise in the Finance domain, capable of directly engaging with Finance business users, and possessing excellent communication and analytical skills.Key Responsibilities :Design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models tailored to financial processes such as P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, budgeting, and cost analysis.Develop robust data models (Star/Snowflake) and ensure high-performance DAX calculations.Work closely with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and Business teams to gather requirements and convert them into technical solutions.Implement row-level security (RLS) , data governance policies, and report access controls.Perform data cleaning, transformation, and loading using Power Query and DAX.Create automated refresh schedules , performance tuning, and data validation checks.Integrate data from ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Tally, etc.), SQL databases, Excel, and cloud sources.Build financial KPIs, variance analysis, trend charts, forecasts , and other analytical models.Maintain version control, documentation, and ensure best practices in BI deployment .Troubleshoot issues related to data accuracy, refresh failures, or visual performance.Support ad-hoc analysis and deliver insights to non-technical finance users.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data processes and reporting automation.Required Skills & Experience :5+ years of hands-on Power BI Finance domain experience.Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-starting attitudeSolid business acumen, particularly in accounting and IFRS reporting standardsA keen eye for design and data visualization aestheticsAdvanced proficiency in Power BI and DAXAn advisory mindset, capable of guiding stakeholders with insights and recommendationsPreferred Qualification :Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SQL Server , or other data engineering tools.Background in FP&A , financial analytics, or corporate finance.Ability to present insights effectively to management and stakeholders.
