For more information, please visit, About the position: The BESS System Integration Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and implementing BESS projects, ensuring seamless integration with renewable energy plants and grid infrastructure. Key duties include ensuring system interoperability (PPC, PCS, EMS, BMS), compliance with grid standards, pre-commissioning activities, and supporting installation, commissioning, and O&M handovers. The role also involves data analysis, fault diagnosis, safety compliance, and project progress monitoring while collaborating with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities:

- Defining and implementing the activity plan for project implementation and act as PMO for BESS- Site supervision and implementation of BESS- Ensuring integration of BESS with existing RE plants and grid infrastructure as per design- Ensuring compliance with interconnectivity norms (CEA regulations, grid standards)- Ensuring effective system communication of PPC, PCS, EMS and BMS and interoperability as per design- Supporting project teams in grid integration- Overseeing data acquisition, analysis, and fault diagnosis for optimal system performance.- Ensuring compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards throughout the integration process.- Integration of PPC and EMS with forecasting and scheduling including vendor selection- Ensure pre-commissioning requirements for BESS including storage at site requirements, auxiliary power requirements and internet connectivity (as per requirement) are in place.- Support O&M team in selecting right candidate and ensure proper handover- Supporting installation and commissioning phases, including pre-commissioning requirements and commissioning processes (cold and hot commissioning).- Co-ordinate internally with various departments and externally with technical agencies to ensure smooth project execution- Support team in project progress monitoring

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related fields.- Minimum project execution experience of 5 years in the industry- Experience in integrating BESS with power systems and grid infrastructures is preferred- Knowledge of grid connection standards and system integration challenges.- Strong project management and collaboration skills.- Technical proficiency in system integration and regulatory compliance.
