Key Responsibilities:

Data Quality:

  • Develop and enforce data quality rules and workflows, assigning responsibilities for resolution.

Data Catalogue:

  • Maintain and promote the adoption of the data catalogue, ensuring all data products are included, business KPI glossary is up-to-date, and data ownership is documented.

Data Privacy and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws and internal policies.

Data Classification & Privacy:

  • Implement and oversee data classification and privacy policies across the organization.

Data Lineage:

  • Document and manage data lineage and transformations, making information accessible to various data teams.

Data Governance Reporting:

  • Develop reports to highlight violations and exceptions related to data governance standards and practices.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate or Post-graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Data Governance, with at least 3 years in a similar role.

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Strong ability to collaborate with diverse data domain teams across multiple functions.
  • Proven problem-solving skills for addressing unstructured and uncertain challenges.
  • Data-oriented, analytical, performance-driven, and assertive.

Technical Competencies:

  • Data Catalogue: Expertise with tools such as Alation, Collibra, Microsoft PurView, Informatica, DataPlex.
  • Data Quality: Proficiency with tools like Informatica, Collibra, Great Expectations, etc.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Advanced knowledge of GDPR and Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

Reporting Tools:

  • Basic knowledge of PowerBI.

Programming:

  • Basic proficiency in Python and Jupyter Notebooks.
