Sr. Food Technologist

JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Senior Food Technologist Reporting to: Company DirectorsLocation: Pune (with frequent client site visits) Company Overview: Beyzon Foodtek Pvt. Deliver significant improvement in manufacturing capacity, food Safety Quality & profitability.Role Overview: This position requires sound knowledge & applicability of food technology and food engineering principles. Hands on experience of Quality Control & Quality Assurance in Food Industry, with exposure in, In-process Quality Control, Physical & Chemical Analysis of raw materials – packaging materials & finished goods. Exposure to various Food Manufacturing Processes is desired. Provide guidance and support in improvement of QA-QC Practices and in improvement of Manufacturing Processes at client’s factory.Experience & Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 8 to 9 years of experience in Quality Control, Manufacturing in a FMCG/Food Industry.2. Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality standards & regulatory requirements.3. At least 4-5 years of leadership experience in a food manufacturing company.4. Knowledge of food safety, product labelling, and nutrition science & regulations5. Should have Implemented food safety and quality management systems6. Ability to design and conduct quality and food safety audits7. Exposure to & experience in following one or more Food Safety Standard requirements viz. ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, or AIB is essential.8. Practical implementation of HACCP system is essential.9. Experience in the development of new products, including recipe development, sourcing suppliers will be an added advantage10. Proficiency in computer software applications such as ERP systems, MS Office Suite, and Quality Control module and/or product development module in ERP software is preferable. 11. Strong analytical, research skills12. Leadership qualities, the ability to work in a team & manage the team is essential.13. Should have ability to work with top management team members of our clients.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Developing and reviewing quality and food safety policies2. Addressing quality requirements for exports of goods to US & other countries3. Establish Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodology (Pareto Analysis), plan & execute CAPA.4. Studying processes to reduce costs and improve yield5. Leading product innovation & renovation, including recipe development, sourcing suppliers, and selecting modern equipment. Optimizing BOM.6. Seeking ways to improve and optimize processes, products, and services.7. Apply technical principles to problem-solving in project management.8. Evaluating, Planning & executing food manufacturing projects to deliver the desired end results in terms of product quality & food safety and product cost.9. Hands-on experience in selection, installation and commissioning of process equipment.10. Find food process engineering solutions.11. Institutionalize change management system related to product process changes, process specification changes, overprinting changes, RM, PM, SFG & FG specification changes etc., before actual commercial implementation.12. New technology adoption: Leading research to adopt new technology and equipment13. Impart periodic training in collaboration with the client's HR team to all relevant employees in the operations value chain on Food Safety, GMP, GHP, process control, and ISO 22000
