Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned PR & Media Relations Manager to join our team at Boston Institute of Analytics. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our brand's positive reputation in the Ed-Tech industry. This role involves crafting compelling narratives, fostering relationships with media outlets, and executing innovative PR campaigns to amplify our presence across traditional and digital platforms. You will manage both B2C and B2B communication strategies, ensuring consistent messaging across all business facets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic PR Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and execute PR strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Identify media opportunities to highlight the organization’s achievements and initiatives.

Media Relations:

  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers in the Ed-Tech, technology, and education sectors.
  • Pitch stories and secure media placements in leading newspapers, magazines, blogs, and online platforms.

Content Creation & Storytelling:

  • Craft press releases, thought leadership articles, and media briefs.
  • Develop brand messaging to ensure consistency across all communications.

Event Coordination:

  • Oversee PR-related events, including press conferences, webinars, and corporate events.
  • Manage media coverage for product launches, partnerships, and other significant milestones.

B2C and B2B Communication Management:

  • Develop tailored PR strategies to address both consumer (B2C) and corporate (B2B) audiences.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align messaging for business partners and end-users.

Reputation Management:

  • Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Address negative publicity promptly and strategically to protect the brand image.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing, content, and product teams to align PR efforts with broader company campaigns.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership for spokesperson opportunities and media interactions.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns through KPIs such as media coverage, reach, and engagement.
  • Provide detailed reports to the leadership team with actionable recommendations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in PR, media relations, or corporate communications.
  • Proven track record of securing media coverage in top-tier outlets.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a portfolio showcasing PR materials.
  • Strong network of media contacts, particularly in education, tech, and Ed-Tech sectors.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in digital PR and knowledge of social media trends is a plus.
