This role is for one of the Weekday's clientsMin Experience: 12 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-timeWe are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Sales to lead our sales organization and drive revenue growth across domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in SaaS sales , direct sales , and inside sales , with a proven track record of scaling high-performing sales teams and exceeding ambitious targets. This role demands a balance of strategic leadership, data-driven decision-making, and hands-on execution to expand our market share and strengthen customer relationships. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Leadership: Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives, focusing on driving growth, customer acquisition, and retention. SaaS Sales Excellence: Lead and refine the end-to-end SaaS sales process — from lead generation, prospecting, demos, and negotiations to closing — ensuring consistent revenue generation and predictable pipeline management. Team Management: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team, including direct sales and inside sales representatives. Establish clear goals, KPIs, and incentive structures to drive accountability and excellence. Revenue Growth: Own and deliver quarterly and annual revenue targets. Identify new business opportunities, upsell and cross-sell to existing clients, and expand the customer base through effective territory management. Sales Operations: Oversee forecasting, sales analytics, and pipeline management. Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align go-to-market strategies and optimize lead-to-revenue conversion. Customer Engagement: Build trusted relationships with key enterprise clients, understanding their business challenges and ensuring our solutions deliver measurable value. Act as a brand ambassador in industry forums and events. Process Optimization: Establish scalable sales processes, tools, and best practices that enhance productivity, accuracy, and transparency across the sales function. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with leadership and cross-departmental teams to provide feedback from the field, influence product development, and refine the company’s value proposition. Market Insights: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong expertise in SaaS sales, direct sales, and inside sales across B2B environments. Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage large sales teams with measurable success. Exceptional sales management skills with experience in sales forecasting, planning, and pipeline management. Deep understanding of sales metrics, CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar), and data-driven decision-making. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with an executive presence. Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, product, and customer success teams to drive alignment and performance. Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred. Prior experience in a fast-growing SaaS or technology-driven environment . Track record of scaling teams and achieving consistent year-over-year growth.
