We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced
Chief Marine Engineer Instructor
to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering, along with significant practical and teaching experience.
You will be based at our Academy at Bahir Dar University in Ethiopia, and we operate on a 4 month on, 1 month off basis.
Responsibilities
Teaching marine subjects, workshop technology, advanced and basic firefighting, and tanker familiarisation to pre-sea cadets.Teaching post-sea marine subjects to Class IV candidates.Teaching marine subjects to engine room ratings.Utilising a range of teaching methodologies to engage students and promote learning.Assisting with curriculum development and enhancement.Ensuring training material and practices meet international standards and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Must hold a 1st class certificate of competency.Experience sailing in rank is desirable for at least five years.A minimum of three years' teaching experience as an instructor is preferred.Must hold a TOTA/TOTI/VICT certificate or equivalent.Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
