This roleinvolves working on the front end and back end of our software solutions, which are builtusing HTML5, CSS3, React, Redux, Python, Flask, and RQ. The successful candidate willbe responsible for developing and optimizing our web portals and mobile applications thatplay a crucial role in enhancing user engagement and operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesBuild, ship, and own features end-to-end — from backend APIs to mobile frontends.Design and scale our Python (Flask/FastAPI) services running on AWS Serverless(Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront).Integrate user-facing elements developed with server-side logic using Python andFlask.Develop slick and performant UIs using React Native (mobile) and React.js (web).Manage PostgreSQL schema design, optimization, and migrations.Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines , code reviews, and automated testing.Collaborate directly with the founding team on product ideas, quick iterations, andarchitecture decisions.Lead by example — help onboard and mentor 1–2 new engineers over the next 3–6months.Collaborate with the freelance UI designers & Business Team to define, design, andship new features.Maintain code integrity and organization & Implement security and data protectionmeasures.Manage hosting environments, including database administration and scalingapplications to support load changes.Ensure the responsiveness and scalability of applications across all devices, andOptimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.Update and maintain the backend services and APIs and provide technical supportand troubleshooting as necessary.QualificationsBachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.3–6 years of solid hands-on coding experience across the stack.Strong command of Python , Flask/FastAPI , React/React Native , and PostgreSQL .Strong proficiency with front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript,and Redux.Working knowledge of AWS Serverless tools and deployment practices.Comfort with Git, Docker, API design, and performance optimization.A startup mindset — bias for action, ownership, and solving problems end-to-end.Experience working in agile , iterative, fast-paced environments.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a hosting environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Bonus SkillsExperience building or scaling a SaaS product.Exposure to data-driven systems , IoT integrations , or automation workflows .Prior experience in a startup or small engineering team.Why Join UsYou’ll be the lead engineer shaping the architecture and roadmap of a live SaaSproduct.Work directly with the founders and see your code in production every week.Fast-moving, high-ownership culture where speed > hierarchy .Competitive pay + ESOPs for early team members .A ton of learning, building, and impact — no fluff, just shipping.If you love building real products that impact how people move, park, and interact inthe real world — this is your playground.We look forward to discovering how you can make a difference at ValetDesk
